1. Agreement

These Terms are a contract between you and Life Stack Japan GK ("we", "us") for the mailmana app and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

mailmana extracts, translates and organizes the documents and emails you submit. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. We will give notice in the app before discontinuing the Service as a whole.

3. AI Output

Translations, summaries, deadlines, amounts and other results are generated automatically and may be wrong or incomplete. They are not a certified translation or legal, tax, financial, medical or other professional advice. Check anything you rely on against the original document. You are responsible for the decisions you make.

4. Your Account

If you are under 18, you must have the consent of a parent or guardian. Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

5. Your Content

You keep ownership of what you submit. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, copy, process and transmit it, including through our service providers, as needed to provide the Service to you.

You confirm that you have the right to submit your content, including any personal information about other people it contains.

You decide what you submit and are responsible for it, including any government-issued identification number it contains, such as a Japanese My Number.

The Service is not a backup. Keep your originals.

Section 5 as amended on 2026-10-09 applies from 2026-10-23.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not:

  • use the Service unlawfully, or submit content you have no right to submit;
  • interfere with, probe or overload the Service, or bypass its limits or security;
  • access the Service by automated means, except through features we provide for that purpose;
  • reverse-engineer the app, except as the law permits;
  • resell or share access to the Service.

7. Plans and Payment

The Free plan includes a monthly page allowance. Paid subscriptions and page packs are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under that store's terms. Prices, allowances and how pages are counted are shown in the app at the time of purchase. Monthly allowances reset each month and do not carry over.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds are handled by the store under its policies. We do not issue refunds except where the law requires it.

We may change prices and allowances. A price change applies to an existing subscription only from a renewal after notice.

8. Suspension and Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings.

We may suspend or terminate your access without prior notice if you breach these Terms, if the law requires it, or to protect the Service or others. We may also close accounts that have been inactive for an extended period, after notice. When an account is closed, its content may be deleted.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it is accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

10. Liability

Where we are liable to you through our negligence, other than gross negligence, our liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages actually incurred, up to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event and ¥5,000.

This limit does not apply to damage caused by our wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

You are responsible for claims arising from your content or your breach of these Terms.

11. Changes

We may change these Terms in accordance with Article 548-4 of the Civil Code of Japan. We will announce the changed Terms and the date they take effect in advance, in the app or on this page. The changed Terms apply from that date.

12. Governing Law and Courts

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance.

If any part of these Terms is held invalid, the rest remains in effect.
